The Roan - Ebony

$2,350.00

Schiemann Roan – Boutique Craftsmanship Meets Sonic Versatility

If you're looking for an instrument that blends vintage soul with modern flexibility, this Schiemann Roan delivers in a big way. Built with intention, feel, and tone at the forefront, this is a guitar that rewards both subtlety and aggression in equal measure.

The body is crafted from open-pore mahogany, letting the wood breathe and resonate naturally while showcasing its organic character. Wrapped in tortoise shell celluloid binding, it has a classic, almost heirloom aesthetic that stands out without trying too hard.

The neck is a standout feature—curly sapele with a smooth, fast feel and a 12" radius ebony fretboard. The ebony adds snap and articulation, while the block inlays (perfectly matched to the pickguard) tie the whole visual package together with a cohesive, custom-shop look.

At the heart of the tone are a set of handwound Lil’ Belle P90s by Humble Pickups. These deliver everything you want from a great P90 set—rich midrange, articulate highs, and just enough grit to push your amp into that sweet, dynamic breakup.

Hardware is dialed in for performance and reliability:

  • Schroeder Half TL bridge for excellent resonance and attack

  • Music City Groove Master saddles for improved intonation and feel

  • Kluson vintage-style tuners for classic looks and rock-solid tuning stability

Where this Roan really separates itself is in its expanded switching system. Alongside a Switchcraft Gibson-style 3-way selector, you get three slider switches that unlock a wide tonal palette:

  • Bottom (Blower Switch): Sends your pickup straight to output for maximum power and presence—perfect for solos that need to cut through

  • Middle (Series/Parallel): Shift between thicker, punchy series tones and clearer, more open parallel sounds

  • Top (Neck Tone Cut): Tightens up the neck pickup for more clarity and bite when needed

This isn’t just a guitar—it’s a tonal toolkit. Whether you're chasing vintage warmth, modern clarity, or something entirely your own, the Schiemann Roan is built to inspire.

Handcrafted. Versatile. Unmistakably unique.
