Introducing the Piedmont by Schiemann Guitars — a handcrafted offset built for players who want vintage soul with modern authority.
This Piedmont starts with a roasted poplar body, giving it a lively, balanced resonance with a slightly compressed low end and sweet upper mids. It’s lightweight, responsive, and incredibly musical — the kind of body that feels alive against your ribs.
The neck is a gorgeous curly maple carve paired with a rosewood fretboard, shaped to a comfortable 9.5" radius — perfect for smooth chord work down low and clean bends up high. The custom block inlays tie visually to the pickguard, giving the instrument a cohesive, boutique aesthetic that stands out without shouting.
Loaded with a serious Lollar lineup:
Neck & Middle: Lollar Supercaster pickups
Bridge: Lollar Deluxe Foil
The Supercasters deliver bold, piano-like lows with articulate highs — thicker than traditional single coils but still clear and dynamic. In the bridge, the Deluxe Foil brings punch, chime, and harmonic complexity with a slightly raw edge that cuts through a mix beautifully.
The electronics are dialed:
5-way CRL switch
500k pots for enhanced clarity
470k resistors on neck & middle positions to keep them perfectly balanced
.022 Orange Drop cap for smooth, usable roll-off
Every position on the switch is intentional — no dead spots, no filler tones. Just usable, inspiring sounds.
Gotoh vintage-style tuning machines for stable, smooth tuning
Descendant bridge and vibrato system — improved break angle, enhanced sustain, and a responsive, musical vibrato feel
This setup keeps the feel classic while eliminating the common frustrations of traditional offset hardware.
If you’re looking for something that blends boutique craftsmanship, vintage inspiration, and modern reliability — this Piedmont delivers.
Feel free to message with any questions — happy to talk tone, specs, or setup preferences.
